more. The high cost of living has made it increasingly difficult for individuals and families to make ends meet. Hardest hit are parents with young children struggling with the soaring costs of housing, working families laboring in low-wage jobs with no benefits, and elderly people living on fixed incomes. Often these individuals are faced with a difficult choice between putting food on the table or paying expenses such as utilities, rent or medicine. Your donation helps the Worcester County Food Bank provide individuals and families with the food and support they need.
In Fiscal Year 2009, the Food Bank provided assistance, through its network of
178 partner agencies, to
93,000 different women, men, and children living in 60 communities in Central Massachusetts.
