Volunteers
The Worcester County Food Bank offers the following volunteer opportunities
(when available) to
individuals and small groups:
Most of our volunteers help sort donated food
and grocery product. Our volunteers have a direct impact on
people who are hungry in Worcester County. They sort
approximately 2 million pounds of food per year, which is then
distributed to emergency-feeding programs located throughout
Worcester County.

The Food Bank is open for regular volunteer
opportunities Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, excluding
holidays. Volunteers must be able to arrive at the Food
Bank by 2:30pm.

Minimum age for volunteering is 13.
Volunteers under 16 years of age must be supervised by an adult.

Volunteers are encouraged to come in weekly for 2-3 hours.

Due to the warehouse environment sandals, flip-flops,
or open-toe shoes
are not allowed at the Food Bank.

*All volunteers are required to complete a
volunteer application and participate in a 1.5 hour volunteer orientation.

Volunteer Groups: The Worcester
County Food Bank welcomes volunteer groups for a one-time volunteer
opportunity (ideal group size is 10-12 volunteers for a maximum of 3
hours). Groups are encouraged to contact the Food Bank as far
in advance as possible to schedule their shift. The Food Bank
will do its best to accommodate scheduling needs.
